The application works well. But I miss something : it is impossible to set a Group for the contacts imported. It’s very useful to me to use the groups on MailChimp and I would love to be able to select a Group right from « Chimport »

Chimport was great until I updated to Yosemite. NOw it does not work at all anymore. No chance to choose multiple addresses to get them to Mailchimp. Just crap and no use! What a failure!
Used to be a great app. Not working any more under Yosemite.
Doesn´t work under Yosemite! A pity.
I sense this is a good app, however, it needs clearer instructions. Made some transfers, but not sure I have everything the way I would like it. Am sure that once I figure out how it all works, that I will one day say "this is a cinch!" BUT, this app does what its supposed to.
For what it does, it’s okay. I’d like more control over which address it pulls in though.
I don’t think I’m doing it correctly. I select my contacts, enter my API key, pick a list and hit export to MailChimp. Log on to my Mailchimp but none of the contacts are there. Am I missing smthing?
Doesnt work at all on Yosemite! if youre running latest os 10.10 dont bother downloading….
Can’t select more then one contact. Making this a useless program if you are running Yosemite.
MacOS 10.12 : no problems and much better then a manual export import.
I created a list of over sixty contacts to export from Apple Contacts. After accessing my credentials from MailChimp, I simply dragged and dropped into the export pane of the app. A few seconds later it was uploaded, and confirmed on the MailChimp web site. My only gripe is that MailChimp Import only transfers the contacts first name, last name and email address. I’d like to import other details from my contact list, like business name, phone number, or whatever, but the app won’t do that. I’d give an extra star if import fields were more flexible.
This is very useful, but it definitely could be better. Here are a few recommendations for improvements: 1) Be able to import ALL the email addresses under a single contact. Right now, it only imports one of them. 2) Have a sync feature, so when I add new contacts to my Address Book, I could sync it with MailChimp. Ill up my rating when these improvements are incorporated.
I really love this - I have been waiting for this for a long time. The major improvement I would make is the ability to import more than just First/Last Name and Email. I use Mailchimp to send out newsletters to doners. Some doners I never get to see but I need to know what State/organization their from, As a result of this need I have set up my list where anyone who subscribes has to tell me what organization their attached to (for example A church) and then where their church is located. I use facebook as a way to pull in subscribers but at the moment I have no idea where these doners are coming from. Just their first and last name. I need to look in my mailchimp list online and see Who opened them, and what organization their attached to Right now I cant do that. Please make it where we can work out the "margin fields" to sync from my address book to my list - Right now I have to go online and delete the "Title/Organization" field to allow imports from Chimporter.
Tried to run this three times and it never worked. I had my API etc, but just acting as if it was exporting, but, nothing ever happened.
Just downloaded this today and worked perfectly. Really useful.
Continually click on Export, never exports. No instructions to make this app intuitive… Have tried for days to get it to download. Finally downloaded today, so I actually have it on my computer now. But it doesnt work. It doesnt export anything. Just sits there. Mocking me.
Very fast import.
watch the spinning wheel go around and around while nothing happens …..
I was able to get MailChimp to report the number of contacts I exported to a list, but I am unable to view any information about the contacts in that list. Its like MailChimp thinks they are there, but wont show ANY information about them. Other lists, built manually, show all data correctly.
No problem.
